vFairs has some major product updates brewing and DiscoverNext revealed them all on September 15th, 2021. If you missed all the exciting product updates that our ‘Dev Kitchen’ had to share, no worries. We’re here to bring you the inside scoop.
vFairs is always looking for ways to enhance the user experience. We’re always hunting down ways to help you achieve your business goals. Whether you care about keeping your audience hooked, or if you want your audience to connect with one another seamlessly. We’ve been listening to your feedback, and now we’ve got you covered with a variety of new features.
At vFairs DiscoverNext, we divided our product updates into four categories, which promise to enhance everyone’s collective experience at a vFairs virtual event. Be it, attendees, sponsors or exhibitors, we have something new for everyone. The four categories are:
- Engagement metrics
- Diversifying networking
- Amplifying value to sponsors
- Personalizing attendee journey
Let’s take a look at what each category has in store for us.
Engagement Metrics
vFairs understands how important it is for you to boost engagement at your events. You want people to be active participants. We hear you. We’ve got your back on this. For this we have:
Slido
Create polls, surveys and quizzes with Slido. During a session, speakers can run different polls and conduct surveys to get real-time feedback and engagement. Slido can be used at the session level and even at the wider event level. Go a step further and throw in Slido quizzes. Nothing gets attendees engaged like a good competition. To score high, they will need to be attentive which will give your engagement a boost automatically.
Kahoot!
If your kids have been attending an online school, we’re sure you are well aware of Kahoot! It has been used to increase engagement in schools from elementary to universities for a while. And now vFairs brought it into their virtual event space as well. Host quizzes, track progress and engage your attendees by posing questions. You can even host Kahoot! via any video conferencing platform. This adds an extra oomph to your event, and we’re not complaining!
Wordly
Powered by AI, Worldly runs text and audio translations in a variety of languages, so you can make your virtual events truly global. It also facilitates closed captioning in real-time. Now isn’t that a great way to make your events truly accessible to a global audience?
Interprefy
Interprefy allows you to host global attendees by translating your webinars into a variety of languages, including sign language. Therefore, you can offer your virtual event to a larger audience. You can run your webinars in different languages at the same time, and what’s more? Attendees can choose the language they want.
Social Wall
Want to build some real-time buzz and amp up brand awareness as you’re running your event? That is exactly what our social media wall helps you do. Walls.io lets you display and curate a wall where you can share social media posts in one place at your virtual event. With this wall, you can increase your user engagement and make your event more fun.
vFairs Photo Booth
Create extra excitement about your event via the vFairs photo booth. Attendees can take custom pictures of themselves right within the event platform. They can even share them with colleagues, family and friends across social media! In addition, this feature lets them submit their pictures to in-event photo competitions, where attendees can vote for their favorite images. Images from all participants can be seen in the gallery.
Spin the Wheel
Entice attendees to try their luck at your virtual event! You can host a Spin the Wheel and offer your attendees any number of rewards. They could win prizes, gain points, or even be entered for a chance to network 1:1 with your event’s keynote speaker!
Live Attendee Stats
The cherry on top is that you get live attendee stats. You can view how many users have logged in and which screens they’re at. You can get these real-time stats and make adjustments on the fly if you have to.
Diversifying Networking
We’ve always been passionate about helping people build connections. So it’s only natural that we’re always seeking newer ways to help you with networking at your events.
We’ve diversified the networking opportunities we offer over the past few months. We’ve offered live 1:1 and group text, audio, video chats for a long time. These are embedded chats, so you can have meaningful conversations without leaving the tab. vFairs DiscoverNext revealed what’s next for networking in virtual events.
Ad Hoc Chatrooms
Now you can create chatrooms on the spot. These ad hoc chatrooms are customized so that you can start your own conversations in the event chat tab, and invite other attendees to join by adding them manually or sharing the chatroom link with them.
You can set up a new chatroom during a session, or at any other time your attendees want to get together with others and start a discussion. This gives them more power to do that. Users can get a shareable link to the custom chat room to invite participants.
Recommended Profiles
You have a large audience. In order to match exhibitors (employers/sellers) with attendees (job seekers/buyers) or attendees to attendees, organizers can map their profile fields to give them recommendations based on captured information. They can reach out and start conversations with the recommended people. Smooth right?
Serendipitous Matchmaking
Another update that is solely aimed at helping you expand your network. As the name suggests it is ‘serendipity’ at work, and it randomly matches you with a fellow attendee. It is up to the attendee if they want to talk to them. They can accept/decline the call. You, as the organizer, can set the time for five mins. After five minutes, the matchmaking tool matches the attendee to another.
Miro
Collaboration takes on a new meaning with the Miro whiteboard. It allows virtual attendees to communicate and collaborate together irrespective of their physical location and/or meeting space. Keynote speakers, industry experts and attendees can visualize their thoughts, share ideas, clarify concepts, and teach fellow participants to help them learn something new.
Moderated Q&A
Organizers and/or speakers can now completely moderate a Q&A session. They have the power to block users and remove a message too. Other attendees can only see the messages replied to by the admin.
Embedded Zoom Webinars
We strive to deliver convenience in all our events. Users can avoid switching between different applications and browser tabs with the embedded zoom webinars. They can easily view speaker sessions and webinars using Zoom from within the vFairs platform.
Coming Soon
Smart Matchmaking
vFairs DiscoverNext had a big surprise: Smart Matchmaking
This innate vFairs feature matches users with users through AI mapping, based on a wealth of information collected. Smart matchmaking will take into consideration the information collected from the user, plus the additional questions you as the organizer asks your attendees. Here the registration details are also accounted for. Woah! We cannot wait for you to experience this.
Amplifying Value to Sponsors
Sponsors are important to our hosts, and hence they’re important to vFairs. vFairs DiscoverNext shed light on the specific features which are aimed at amplifying the value sponsors get out of the virtual event.
Exclusive Sponsor Booths
Sponsors have a ton of exposure opportunities all across the virtual event platform. Placing logos in the lobby, landing page and welcome videos and sending custom emails are just some of the many ways you can help sponsors gain mileage.
That wasn’t enough for us, so we went a step further and added in exclusive booths for sponsors. These offer prime placements in the exhibit hall with a larger virtual booth.
Sponsored Webinars
In addition to exclusive sponsor booths, sponsors can also host their own live or pre-recorded sessions in the virtual auditorium. This allows them to get a platform to showcase their products as well as connect with consumers.
Sponsored Gamification
Another way to give your sponsors more promotional exposure is by adding a gamification element with their branding, for instance, scavenger hunts and leaderboards. Allocate scores to action, where if the attendee has visited all booths their score will increase.
Personalize Attendee Journey
vFairs DiscoverNext had a special something for attendees. Attendees are at the core of your virtual event. So we have something in store to help you gain more insights into their behavior and add value to their experience.
Custom User Segments
You can now create segments based on the information you received from the users. With this, you can then push meaningful content and features to the right audience.
Personalize Virtual Event Experience
You can even personalize the attendee’s virtual event experience by showing or hiding spaces or pages based on their location. If they’re remote they see spaces accordingly and if they’re attending in person they can see their virtual event pages accordingly.
Personalized Agenda
Give attendees more control by helping them create their own personalized agendas. They might not be keen on attending all sessions. If they build their own agendas, they get to see what is most relevant to them. Again, anything to make attendees feel comfortable.
Visualize Individual Attendee Journey
You can now track individual attendee journeys. See where and how they navigate, who they engage with and where they spend the most time. You can then generate a complete timeline that tracks the attendee’s movements.
Last but not least, we want to talk about the highly anticipated vFairs mobile app. We will have more on that but just a slight sneak peek into the app.
vFairs Mobile App
vFairs DsicoverNext also made another exciting revelation. We cannot contain our excitement when it comes to the vFairs mobile app. It is in the works and it will be with you very soon. With four focus themes, here’s how it will enhance your attendee experience and help you deliver an exceptional event.
1. Check-In
This focuses on how you will get your in-person attendees to check-in for the event. From configurable authentication to simplified attendee check-in all aim to make the check-in process smooth.
2. Lead Capture & Networking
This encapsulates the entire process by which attendees can capture each other’s information. Where attendee search helps them discover like-minded professionals, at the same time attendees can exchange contact information through QR codes. They will also be able to find booths and exhibitors of interest quickly.
3. Touchless Content
Now more than ever, attendees need a safe environment to consume content. For obvious reasons. vFairs is here with a solution as always. They can enjoy effortless navigation, and watch webinars on the go among many other things!
4. Reporting & Analytics
You’re hosting a hybrid event, without measuring the effectiveness? Impossible. That is essential. You now can measure in-person registration trends and detailed virtual event metrics in one dashboard.
That’s it, folks. vFairs development kitchen is always up to something exciting, so we’re sure we will be back very soon with another round of exciting updates and features! Stay tuned!
